Nuclear Battery

Check out this cool nuclear reactor, this opens up a world of opportunity and not just with electricity. Just about anything made of carbon can be converted to hydrocarbons with enough energy inputs, coal liquefaction is a prime candidate and it can be done cheaply and cleanly if the coal isn’t also burned to provide the heat to power the process. Oil from deep wells that is currently uneconomical to extract, due to the tremendous amount of energy required to lift it from extreme depths will now make sense. This is a big thing.

Grim news on oil

From the leaked portions of the IEA report as reported in the Financial Times.

“the natural annual rate of output decline is 9.1 per cent, the International Energy Agency says in its annual report… The agency says even with investment, the annual rate of output decline is 6.4 per cent.”

After that analysis they still expect: “oil consumption in 2030 to reach 106.4m barrels a day, down from last year’s forecast of 116.3m b/d.”

Were in deep dodo and these clowns, whom are charged with finding solutions, have been drinking their own Kool-Aid.
